Lake Geneva in winter

Tiffany and Nicolas are getting married in August and so opted for a completely different look for their engagement photo session. With the winter weather swinging between fog and sun we were finally incredibly lucky to get a perfect winter’s evening in the sunshine. As Tiffany finished off her makeup, I scouted the lakeside at Rivaz for different locations to make up their prewedding photoshoot. It was such a beautiful day, Nicolas couldn’t resist a few landscape pictures of the Château and snowy mountains.

Lavaux vineyards

We opted to start the shoot higher up in the village to ease into it. One of the main reasons for an engagement or prewedding shoot is to help my couples feel more comfortable in front of the camera. This means that on the wedding day it is one less thing to worry about, you know how I work and can just forget that you are having your picture taken.
Tiffany and Nicolas were naturals, happy to just be themselves and forget that I had a camera in my hand. The views over Lac Léman were stunning even through the bare vines and it was well worth the walk up the hill.

One place, lots of looks

Sometimes time can be really tight on a wedding day, so I need to be able to create lots of different looking shots without moving my couple too far. Down by the lake was a great opportunity for this giving us backgrounds in blue with the lake and mountains, colours of the trees and Château or the setting sun on the jetty.
Tiffany is going to be blogging about her experiences of wedding planning on Mademoiselle Dentelle. Be sure to check out her progress and pictures.
