Emilie’s twins maternity photography session was a surprise present from her mum, and grandma-to-be. I am often asked if I offer gift certificates and the answer is, absolutely! I know that professional photography is a luxury and I prefer not to compromise the quality of my work and products just to try to make it more available to more people. My clients really appreciate what I can do for them and this is reflected in the investment that they are willing to make so, I absolutely offer gift certificates but I recommend having a good chat with the recipient to see if it is something they would also value. Or, like Emily’s mum, offer a full package with shoots, albums and files and make it really special for your loved one. We let Emilie know about her present about a month before her maternity shoot so that she would have time to discuss what to wear and her expectations of the session.

For their first session Emilie and Victor chose one of their favourite parks in Lausanne and, even though we were shooting in November, we managed to find some of the last autumn colour for a backdrop for their natural portraits.

Their beautiful baby girls were born in February and we spent a lovely morning together for their newborn shoot, which I can’t wait to share with you.
